Bir village lies in the southeast of Dharamsala and at a distance of about 50 kms. Bir at an altitude of 1400 m is connected by NH-20, Pathankot- Manali Highway and approximately midway between Baijnath and Joginder Nagar.
Geologically, Bir is situated in the Joginder Nagar Valley of Dhauladhar Mountain Range in the Himalayas. Hang-gliding started in Bir and is gaining immense popularity now a days. Billing at an altitude of 2900 m is 14 km from Bir is the launch pad for hang-gliding, while Bir serves as the landing site. Billing is also known to have served as the venue for five national and three international hang-gliding competition.
TOUR ITINERARY : DELHI-BIR-DELHI.
Season : March to July & September to December.
Day-01:
Departure from Delhi in the evening by Deluxe Coach for Baijnath.
Day 02:
Morning upon arrival transfer to hotel / Resort at Bir.
Afternoon visit Baijnath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva at Baijnath.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel/Resort.
Day O3:
After breakfast proceed for Billing the take off point for Paragliding. The tandem joy ride from Billing to land at Bir near Tibiten Coloney for about 20-30 minutes.
Afternoon free for leisure activities.
Evening transfer to catch Deluxe Coach for Delhi.
Day 04:
Morning arrival Delhi.
