Dharamsala is situated in the Northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It lies on a spur of the Dhauladhar range in the Pir Panjal region of the Outer Himalayas; and commands majestic views of the mighty Dhauladhar ranges above, and the Kangra Valley below. Dhauladhar means “white ridge” and this breathtaking, snow-capped range rises out of the Kangra Valley to a height of 5,200 meters (17,000 feet).The Kangra Valley is a wide, fertile plain, crisscrossed by low hills.

  • DAY: 00:
    • Welcome to Delhi. Evening departure for Dharamshala by Train.
    • Night journey upto Pathankot (485 kms -(10 hours) passing through Karnal,  Ambla, Jalandhar; Mukerian; Pathankot.
  • DAY: 01:
    • Arrival Pathankot in the morning. Proceed for Dharamshala by Car/coach (80 kms). Breakfast on the way and visit TRILOK PUR -known for a unique natural cave temple of Lord Shiva. This cave temple is made of stalactite and stalagmite (calacium carbonate in the form of a large icicle hanging from the caves roof). Upon arrival at Dharamshala transfer to Hotel / Camp
    • After lunch visit the famous Dalai Lama Temple – it has statues of Shakyamuni, Avalokiteśvara, and a statue of Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche).; St. John Church – An Anglican church located int he forest near ForsythGanj.
    • The neo-Gothic stone building of the church was constructed in 1852. The church building is also noted for its Belgian stained-glass windows donated by Lady Elgin. Dal Lake -A small lake located near the Tibetan Children’s Villages schools and the Shiva Temple.;
    • Dinner and overnight at  Hotel/ Camp.
  • DAY:  02:
    • After breakfast full day sightseeing tour in and around Dharamshala.  Visiting  -
    • Palampur- loacted at 1219 metres above sea level – carpeted by tea gardens, and dotted with oak, pine and deodar trees.
    • Palampur presents a sublime and delightfull contrast to the plains.  It is a quite hill resort and a picture of rural loveliness.;
    • ANDRETTA village – famours for Shobha Singh Art Gallary;
    • BAIJNATH TEMPLE – is said to be the oldest existing temple in the Kangra Valley.  This temple is devoted to Lord Shiva.
    • As per the legend King Ravana of Lanka supplicated Lord Shiva in this place to grant him the boon of immortality.  This shows that this temple existed even during the Ramayana period.;
    • CHAMUNDA TEMPLE – dedicated to goddess Chamunda Devi or Kali Mata who hacked to death Chand and Mund demons on the bank of Baner Khad or Ban Ganga.;
    • TAPOVAN – established by late  Swami Chinmaya Nanda Ji.;
    • NORBULINGA Institute – established  as an advanced centre for the development of arts and higher Tibetan learning.
    • Return back to hotel / Camp in the evening and overnight stay.
  • DAY:  03:
    • Morning and afternoon free for recreation and rest.
    • After lunch proceed for Pathankot by car / coach for taking train for Delhi.
    • Overnight journey by train.
  • DAY:  04:
